Brain Tamer

‘Brain Tamer’ refers to the ongoing battle of a conflicted mind against its host body. Sometimes I get the feeling that our brains have their own agenda and that we are unwilling participants. There are so many debilitating conditions associated with the brain, highlighted by ‘the big ones’, anxiety and depression. Every day we fight potentially unpleasant thoughts in our minds. Most people are quite successful, but many are not….

‘Brain Tamer’ is a song of hope for those people who suffer intensely from the tyranny of their own minds.

Peaceful waves,

You can’t control.

The nervous centre,

Of a programmed soul.

How it evolves,

Taking over your world.

Every war to be fought,

Every life to be held.

‘Cause it’s you,

Your mind is the maker,

Of the vision that only you see.

It controls,

Every earthly decision.

Can it also destroy?

It’s a tamer of life,

And you’re set on a path,

That you don’t want to take.

Beyond help, beyond hope,

In a world confident,

Of your place in the line,

That is your destiny.

Peace in your mind,

The precious belief.

The longing, the waiting,

The joy of relief.

Be strong and belong,

Though your focus takes flight,

And the minders remind you,

It’s not worth the fight.

‘Cause it’s you,

Your mind is the maker,

Of the vision that only you see.

It controls,

Every earthly decision.

Can it also create?

All your thoughts go your way.

Can you ever let go?

Take the freedom’s delight.

You have strength and belief,

In the world that you make.

It’s a victory at last.

That is your destiny.

‘Cause it’s you, (brain tamer)

Your mind is the maker,

Of the vision that only you see,

In yourself, (mind focus)

Every conscious decision,

Is the person you are,

It’s the person you’ll be,

Though influence will threaten,

Every time you step forward.

Eyes on the moment,

Mind ever focussed,

Goodness in life,

That is your destiny.
